Natalia Gerakis is considered one of the most accomplished Greek flutists. Both Stuttgart- and Athens-based, she has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra player at major halls and festivals around the world. With expression and fine dynamic shades, she demonstrates a firm musical knowledge and understanding and generates outbursts from the audience. She has been performing as principal flutist with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra and collaborated among others with the Athens State Orchestra, the Mikis Theodorakis Popular Orchestra, the Wuerttembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, the Chamber Theatre of the Stuttgart State Opera House. She has been broadcast by the Bayerischer Rundfunk and the Greek Radio.  A CD with music for flute and harp has been released by Spektral Records in Germany. She studied at the Nadia & Lili Boulanger Conservatoire in Paris, from where she graduated with the «1er Prix de la Ville de Paris» and obtained her post-graduate diploma from the State Music Academy of Stuttgart under Prof. Jean-Claude Gérard, on scholarships of the Greek State and the Onassis Foundation.
