1970’s during the Greek junta … it’s Christmas at the army camp, in Evro, where they are preparing for the usual Christmas celebrations and Lieutenant Stephen Karamanidis thoughts are elsewhere. A man who keeps to himself, he has only one desire: to ask his secret love, the wife of Colonel Emmanuel Logos to a dance. However, he doesn’t know how to dance. He seeks the help of a soldier, a shy young man, who stands out for his knowledge and culture. Their acquaintance will be the cause of a series of events that will culminate with a Tango – The Christmas Tango… a day that will change the lives of the three heroes once and for all. The film won three Hellenic Film Academy Awards and the Fischer Audience Award at the 2009 Thessaloniki Film Festival.

 

The film is in Greek with English subtitles.
