“The Economic Crisis in Greece”

Daniel Ross has been the Deputy Counselor for Economic Affairs in the U.S. Embassy in Athens since August 2010.

A career officer in the U.S. Foreign Service, his previous position was as an academic fellow on loan from the U.S. Department of State to the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York. He has worked as a negotiator for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in Washington, DC, and his overseas tours include Egypt, Iraq, Russia, Spain and Mexico. He has also worked as a civilian peacekeeper at the Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt.

Mr. Ross has a B.A. from Michigan State University and has completed graduate studies at Marymount University in Virginia. His foreign languages are Spanish, Russian and Greek.
