Book presentation by Sofka Zinovieff

Sofka Zinovieff will be talking about »Putney», her latest novel (Bloomsbury 2018 and HarperCollins US). An explosive and thought-provoking novel about the far-reaching repercussions of an illicit relationship between a young girl and a man twenty years her senior, it has been dubbed “a Lolita for the age of #MeToo” (The Guardian). “A novel that interrogates the intersection of love, desire and abuse… Timely and nuanced” (Kirkus starred review).

Sofka Zinovieff was born in London, has Russian heritage, and is Greek by adoption. She studied social anthropology at Cambridge and researched for her PhD in the Peloponnese. She worked as a freelance journalist while living in Moscow and Rome, and is the author of 5 books: »Eurydice Street: A Place in Athens», »Red Princess: A Revolutionary Life», »The House on Paradise Street» (her first novel), »The Mad Boy, Lord Berners, My Grandmother and Me».
